Over a 57-year creative career, Gérald Genta created nearly 100,000 sketches — an average of about five new designs per day. In addition to his own collections, he became the author of some of the most iconic models in the history of watchmaking: the Polerouter for Universal Genève, Pasha for Cartier, Constellation for Omega, Ingenieur for IWC, as well as the legendary Royal Oak for Audemars Piguet (1972) and Nautilus for Patek Philippe (1976). According to legend, the sketch for the Royal Oak was created in just one night. Gérald Genta’s bold and свободный approach to design became a key source of inspiration for the philosophy of Genius Watches.
