Genius is a Swiss watch brand creating modern timepieces with a bold design identity, known for its limited collections, the combination of Swiss precision and daring aesthetics, and a distinctive concept that brings together tradition and innovation.
Over a 57-year creative career, Gérald Genta created nearly 100,000 sketches — an average of about five new designs per day. In addition to his own collections, he became the author of some of the most iconic models in the history of watchmaking: the Polerouter for Universal Genève, Pasha for Cartier, Constellation for Omega, Ingenieur for IWC, as well as the legendary Royal Oak for Audemars Piguet (1972) and Nautilus for Patek Philippe (1976). According to legend, the sketch for the Royal Oak was created in just one night. Gérald Genta’s bold and свободный approach to design became a key source of inspiration for the philosophy of Genius Watches.
The design of Genius is based on the harmony of contrasts — the union of different forms and ideas into one cohesive concept. By combining elements that may seem opposite at first glance, the brand creates original and distinctive models with a strong individuality. This bold and thoughtful approach allowed Genius to gain recognition from its very first collections and to develop a unique, recognizable style — modern, expressive, and at the same time deeply connected to the traditions of Swiss watchmaking.
Today, Genius is actively expanding its presence in the global market. The brand’s headquarters are located in Lugano, and its watches can be purchased both in boutiques and online. The brand continues to strengthen its position in Europe, particularly in France, where representations are open in iconic cities such as Paris, Cannes, Saint-Tropez, and Monte Carlo. In Spain, Genius is represented in Marbella, Puerto Banús, Ibiza, as well as in Madrid and Albacete. In Greece, cooperation with the company Gofas has enabled the brand to establish a presence across six key locations — from Athens to Mykonos and Santorini.
